Clay Bar

I tried one of them clay bars today on the Sup, first time i've used one and i'm quite impressed. If your paintwork isn't silky smooth then this will sort it out for you! Seems to give it a nice shine. :) Some reflection pics:

The paintwork was alright before, not many scratches but lots of swirl marks and a bit rough feeling in places, not sure if the clay bar gets rid of these though. After the clay bar i used Meguires Paint Cleaner which seems very good for getting rid of the swirl marks and kinda 'brighten' it up a bit. Just needs polishing now, then waxing! :run:

Used one on mine once (Megauires "Quik Detailer" kit, bought from halfords), not that silver really shows much difference before/after - I was VERY impressed and will probably do it every year now. The paintwork felt like polished glass afterwards and a fair amound of bonded-in crap appeared on the clay bar itself, despite my Supe being kept in a garage and under a blanket! :D

Thats the good thing about a black car, you always get a nice shine :) but it does get dirty quick :(

A clay bar won't help with swirl marks.

Basically wash and dry the car, then use the spray the clay bar comes with as a lubricant for the bar and just rub it all over the paintwork, turning the bar in on itself when it appears dirty.

After that, I washed mine again, then added some polish and wax to protect it. :)
