Just watching the highlights. this is the first race this season ive been able to watch... whats the deal with the white rim on the tyres is it to judge wair?

yes soft has white line hard does not, also they HAVE to use both types during the race

Yeah that's the one. Because there's only Bridgestone supplying tyres this year & they still wanted people talking about tyres they introduced a rule where there are two different compound tyres (everyone has the same) and you have to use both in the race at some point. The white stripe is on the option tyres so you can see who's on what, as usually one type will be slower than the other. Indycars have a similar thing with red sidewalls.

I like those tyres they have in Japan with different colours in the tread to leave on the road when you drift, they should have that on these F1 cars then you'd see the lines people take

Some drift into corners - when their brakes lock

I have only managed to see the first one this year and hamilton was getting the back out on some courners
