Charlotte
I went to a friends wedding lately and they just picked about 20 songs they liked and played them through the reception. They put copies of the cd on the tables which I thought was a nice touch.

Supragal
Shame you left it so late... you should have put a space on the invite returns asking for them to all choose a song each. Why don't you go through the 'times' so start with 80's then 90's then recent stuff. Google top 10 hits for each year or something?
Kittyclaws
"You suffer but why" By naplam death . Not a good idea to have this as your bride arriving at church music. It's only about 2.5 seconds long so she will have to do a Linford down the asle before the music stops,,,,,,,,,,,, I'll get me coat
wHIZz
Is it a civil wedding or church? - I got married in February (civil ceremony) and the background music was the only thing we argued about! We settled on a piper to walk her in to the ceremony then after the vows etc I arranged for the registrar to play a CD I made up the night before - it was flower of scotland by the corries (but an instrumental version), followed by an instrumental of James Blunt's 'You're beautiful' then 'My Girl' 1st dance was Shania Twain - "you're still the one" Worked for us!..... Good luck with the wedding - my advice, try to sit back a few times and take in what is going on - it's over in a flash!
