Why do people feel the need to have screaming babies?

Within the last year, my neighbour bought himself a g/f (she turned up very suddenly, so I'm sure she came from the internet). Said g/f was immediately pregnant.

My g/f talks to my neighbours for some reason and tells me she gave birth about 6 weeks ago. I don't know if that's true or not - but the baby has now discovered crying - and in a semi with paper thin walls that is not a good thing.

It woke me up several times on Sat night, several times on Sun night and was screaming it's head off when I went to bed last night - so I resorted to ear plugs.

It is now screaming it's head off again. I already hated children - this is not changing my mind.

I suspect my desire to stay in my cheap semi-detached house may not last very long. :(

Whats up with you all. My third arrives in 8 weeks!!

Babies are great.....;) If it's not the money they cost the shit they produce, it's the damage they do to your decor and furniture and just when you think they can't ruin your life anymore...............the eldest says she wants to be a Vet!!

Uni fees anyone??

There is no point. Life is just killing time until you die - and kids mean you can't afford to enjoy yourself quite so much while you kill time.

Tis the truth, don't have kids, put the money towards a detached house.

 after spending 40mins in a line at my local DVLA office with a woman, her 6mnth old baby (she told everyone that even blinked at her) and a shitty nappy, well I couldn't agree more :D

A baby is for life. My babies have grown up and will be having their own babies in the not to distant future. Being a parent is great, looking forward to being a grandfather, even better than being a parent, you get all the best bits and you get to send them home when you have had enough. :innocent:

I can see that to a point. But currently my grandma is 91 and is not doing so great. My mum has moved her into a home near my mum's house, just round the corner.

My mum is there most days, help her, caring for her every need.

If she hadn't had any kids she would probably not have anyone left at that age and would die a sad lonely old woman.

So ermmm kids are great and that, just not right now for me thanks.

This is actually an argument I hear quite a bit, but I'm not convinced by it. Heartless though I may be - I have no intention of looking after my mother.

One of my ex girlfriends told me (amongst other sweet things) that I would die sad and lonely with no friends. C'est la vie. :D

I wasn't talking about you looking after your mother, I was talking about you being in a council house (cause naturally you've lost all your money in a freak share crash :D ) on your own, your body not being found for 3 weeks etc etc.
