toyotasuprauk
Anyone on here use Sky as in the TV company for your internet? I'm thinking about changing as my area is now covered, it will be so much cheaper and faster than Pipex! Any problems if so?
Jezz
Spot on here mate. Exchange is practically next door though. Consistant 15.3mps and no down time at all in the few months i've had it.

edd_t
How does that compair to others though?? say NTL or BT etc?? well i have around 300 users. 200 of them using broadband to work from home. NTL is probably worst (no wait, probably AOL), and BT i may get a call about now and again. Sky maybe just having teething troubles I guess which is why theres been soooo many recently. Steve
I am with them. There customer service department is absolutely awful. Have had loads of problems with them. My connection is always dropping out. I shall be cancelling as soon as i can.
toyotasuprauk
They do seem to get mixed reviews. 16mb for £10 a month compared to the 1mb for £24 a month just cant be ignored. I think i'm going to have to try them!
Todd
I think i'm going to have to try them! Would you not rather pay more for a service you know works than pay less for something that "may" work?
SupraPL
Would you not rather pay more for a service you know works than pay less for something that "may" work? For the same reason i chose Eclipse. Regards Tomasz
Pabs
Heard lots of bad things about Sky internet - they may quote "upto" 16mb - but in realistic terms it's so much slower! That said, my parents are swapping from NTL to sky, so I shall no doubt have to set it all up for them, and test it of course....
toyotasuprauk
I know what you’re saying Pipex can’t be faulted for reliability. I just wish they were cheaper and faster! I’m still not decided.
SBDJ
My parents moved to Sky on LLU; they've been suffering drop outs and disconnections ever since. I swapped the Sky supplied Netgear for another router and it's got slightly better but it's still pretty crap to be honest. I'm looking at Be myself at the moment... Jake
I have both NTL (4meg) and Sky (2meg) I use the NTL and my kids use the Sky. It seems fine, no problems at all. 2meg is free if you have Sky TV so it seems rude not have it. eeeek, i havnt got it. but a lot of my users/clients at work do. and over the last couple of months i've gotta say ive had to sort out atleast 2 connections per week! How do you sort out these problems with Sky? Heard lots of bad things about Sky internet - they may quote "upto" 16mb - but in realistic terms it's so much slower!I got them to test my line before hand, as I was interested in the 16meg but concerned it might be a lot less. It took them a few mins to test and they said the best I would get here would be about 4.5meg. So there was no point me going for a "up to 16meg " package.
