Scooter
How much would a leather / Alcantara (?) and log'd rear hatch cover thing be? the picture in this thread is typical of most covers i've had and seen and i think there might be quite a bit of interest in a custom material replacement. must be quite simple (cheap:D ) to do i'd imagine?......... Scooter
kev it's 112cm wide and 47.5cm deep. The 'deep' measurement is just as is, it will need more material as there is a looping over at each end for the two rods that are part of the parcel shelf piece. Sharpie
493mm from top to bottom, if you count the pole bit too. You can also see that the cover has a rivet to hold the top bracket onto the top part.

If you had the material doubled over then you could even possibly have a logo on the underside as well, for those boot up look at my ICE posers amongst us (now i am taking the p*ss:D )

millhouse
Is it just 2 poles then with a bit of material between them I thought it was like a roller blind, the material gets rolled up inside one of the poles when you disconnect it
lovatt
me a poser dont be silly scooter no rolling involved, all it would take is two flat peices of leather attached to the original poles
Sharpie
and you would have to find a way to re-attach the hooks at the top. But, if they have a rivet type machine then it's not a problem OR add some new style hooks. The cover is extended all the time, even when the boot is shut, it's just the cord inside the boot plastic liner (underside of hatch) that extend when the boot hatch rises. millhouse
Thats easy then, i will find out a price
millhouse
I have just spoken to vince, He said about £50 to £70, depending on what material is used and how long it takes It would be best to make one first to see whats involved It would be better made from alcantara because it comes in 1M wide rolls and not cow shaped
