Charlotte
Eek for the pain. I think it will look good though.
Stonkin
happy thoughts? must be joking. I fell asleep for the last 1/2 hour.. was the only way i could relax. I really didnt expect the shading to be so painful, i was always told the outline was worst, but seriously, no way, shading is much worse. theres a fare amount of detail in the area between black and grey, you just cant really see it while its swolen. Guest Nicholas
Never been a fan of that type of tattoo it'll be one big ink blur when your old. I do think the work is impressive though
Stonkin
cheers guys, dont expect it to be to everyone's taste, the shading will die down and it wont appear as harsh, all looks to be just block colours right now
VELOCITY
I had a back piece done a few years back which covers most of my back and still loving it, once all the shading settles down it will look even better.

supra61
on a tat that size mate the shading will hurt its a big area to fill & the constant overlapping to get the shading just right causes a lot of soreness, but worth it in the end.im having my leg started next week.thinking of that brings the feeling flooding back. Stonkin
well best of luck mate, get some pics up when its done. I've just stood under a very warm shower and it felt so nice Redness is just starting to ease down a bit, can start to see some of the detail she has put where the black and grey blends together. She is doing a very good job
Flip
*chuckles* Just read the peeling clearcoat thread before this! I really shouldn't relate the two threads... You could try some medium cutting compound on there perhaps? Tat looks good though, you'll have to post a couple of pics a week or two after she's finished, it'll look fantastic then... Jealous... I really want a tattoo 20% of the time!! Shame you can't just take them off like jewellery
Feakins
Should get it coloured in like my dragon fish: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/102/280917303_89e6e84574_m.jpg

rik
That's going to be an awesome tattoo when it's done mate. I spent £500 on one tattoo, but now can't help but feel like i could have bought a big intercooler, or gone abroad and had a life experience of some sort. Anyway, i was told to use this stuff by the guys that did my work, seemed to do the job. Healed up ok and didn't give me too much bother. Smelled realy nice aswell.... http://www.tattoogoo.com/
rik
It was the stuff in the little round tin, bottom left that i had
Stonkin
i know what you mean mate, i originally budgeted about £300, but that was to have it done about an a4 size. After a long chat, it just didnt work having it that small on my back. This has come to £340 so far, so i can see it being nearer £800. this is what i am using http://www.serftosurf.com/phattat.htm probably very similar stuff

rik
Cool, probably a simmilar thing that. If the tattoo guys recommend it, it cant be too bad I got no pics of my tat, but had an octopuss put on from the elbow up over shoulder.
Stonkin
you mean tonight Charlotte?, can hardly feel it to be honest. Been to the gym, just for an arm workout and that was fine to. Its only when you twist your body a bit that you just feel some areas of skin move tighter than others. bit like having bad sunburn. Not to sure i like your smiley face at the end of that question though
