Oil leak

I did exactly the same thing this weekend, only mine came with no fewer than two rubber o-rings (Greddy). You will need something to seal the gap, and if you have an old (or new) filter available, maybe you can scavenge the o-ring off that.

 

Either that or whip the whole thing off again and smear some jointing compound round the rim. you should be able to pick up something like that from Halfords.

Thanks for the reply, I found a ring to fit, fitted that, tightened everything up still leaking. Discovered it was also leaking out of one of the bolts I wasn't using. So take it all off again this time put some plumbers ptf tape, and it all sorted. Just washed and polished it, just needs to past the MOT and I will be back on the road :D
