Don't worry too much on the petrol, it's only a 1/4 mile so usage is nothing compared to a track day, you'll use more pottering around the place. Homer
Oohh! think of the extra weight? if your tanks full That reminds me, better take the heavy boot build out before next week:innocent: Actually mate, I had my best time with a sub and two wheels in the boot/rear seats I think it was traction related more than anything. Bobbeh
Stock boost, anywhere from low 14s to high 13s, and BPU anywhere from mid 13s down to high 11s for some!
letmeshowyou
Thanks Dodgy Wez I'll be interested to see how the R888's get on for drag racing Homer, I agree on the weight in boot thing. My times were always rubbish with an empty tank and the spare wheel out.
Homer
what sort of times are we aiming for ? standard, bpu etc Depends on Auto/6spd too I'd say: Stock Auto TT: 13.8 Stock 6spd TT: 14.0 BPU Auto TT: 13.0 BPU 6spd TT: 13.5 Any better times than that mean good grip or good driver. Before even with 285s P-Zeros I couldnt get enough traction as it was so smooth.
wez_p
You're not up against the lights so even if you sit on the line for 30s it doesn't matter does this mean there's no traffic light start? i thought one of the trophies was for fastest 60ft time & your reaction to the lights counted against this? not that i'm competitive or anything
Pete
Off! Are you sure about that?
letmeshowyou
Indeed it will, I have mine on ready Do you have a set too? No, not yet - I've been toying with the idea as they seem much easier to get hold of.
Homer
does this mean there's no traffic light start? i thought one of the trophies was for fastest 60ft time & your reaction to the lights counted against this? not that i'm competitive or anything There is still the full two stage start and Christmas tree lights What I meant is that your time slip will not be penalised if you sit on the line. The times are only counted from when YOU cross the line, not from the time the final light goes green. Of course, the reaction time will be recorded on your time slip so you can see how good/bad it was
letmeshowyou
reaction to the lights doesn't count to 60ft. Yes, there are lights, but your time doesn't start until you cross the beam. Of course for true racing you need to cross the line first (so reaction time comes in to play)
