Nic
Anyone know or can work out, what the compression ratio would be on a 2JZGE engine with a 2mm head gasket fitted?
Digsy
Yes, if you tell me the current compression ratio and remind me what the bore and stroke is (86x86?)
Digsy
OK, I got off my arse and used the search button. The only thing I couldn't find 100% was the stock HG thickness, but I'm using 1.2mm. Bore: 86mm Stroke: 86mm CR: 10.5:1 Stock HG thickness: 1.2mm Your additional 0.8mm thicklness raises the compressed volume from 0.0526 to 0.0572 litres, and drops the CR to 9.73:
Alex
What's the drop for an 8.5:1 TT Engine? I thought the stock HG was 1.4...but it's splitting hairs.

It would drop it from 8.5 to a gnat's over 8:1 I did that first, before I noticed that Nic wanted data for the GE
Chris Wilson
Anyone know or can work out, what the compression ratio would be on a 2JZGE engine with a 2mm head gasket fitted? Stock pistons? Overbored?

Digsy
I assumed everything else would be stock. I also assumed that the head gasket hole diameter is that same as the cylinder bore.
dandan
I think the uninstalled thickness on the GTE HG is 1.6mm. Not sure if the GE is the same.
