michael
I saw the repeat of this last night, highly amusing and a little scary! A prime example of religion messing people up - Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6 - Part 7 I like Louis Theroux stuff, he has a very good style. edd_t
oh blimey yeh. its weird cos that daughter just seemed to be totally oblivious to the weirdness. and constantly way too happy!
hogmaw
The kids should be taken away from nutters like this and put into care. Otherwise they will grow up into bigots full of hatred, just like their parents.
Charlotte
I saw it on Sunday. Louis is hilarious. There was one point where one of the deluded was going on about Jesus being killed by jews and that's why they think all jewish people should go to hell and Louis just said 'he was a jew you moron'. Havard
Jesus! Wished I hadn't watched that... They are all twisted and wierd beyond belief. Nothing that a good air strike wouldn't sort out. Don't get me wrong I have never understood homosexuals but that is just ignorance gone mad!! H.
Thorin
Yeah I watched this the other night. I think Louis should have pushed them more about it being a cult. I do like Louis' stuff, the one he did a while back with Jimmy Saville was brilliant he's a complete but job. Did you see the Las Vegas gambling one not so long ago too? Some rich old woman at the slot machines sat telling him she'd probably lost several million over the last few years, Louis asked if she was worried she'd ever run out of money... She paused for a moment, then just said "no", and carried on playing.

Class One
I though the weirdest bit was how they all looked the same. (Cue banjos )
hogmaw
No-one in their right mind is gonna marry any of those kids once they're grown up, and if they're banned from sex outside marriage, it's the end of the line for that particular family

Tom
Yeah I enjoyed watching this the other night, I was hoping Louis would question the "act of god" thing a little more as I was curious to see what the daughter would say if her grandfather suddenly came down with a serious illness, and even though he has only done "good things" by the bible, would it have been an act of god's punishment and why? and if they would lose faith? DaveK
The scary thing is - I thought they were one only one step away from voilent actions. If we should thank god for 9/11 etc. - and considering their completely polarised views - I could easily see them deciding to "help" some of the evil people to hell with a few well placed bombs etc.
Big Ads
Surprised someone hasn't mow'd them all down when they were protesting at those funerals.
Charlotte
What was sad to me was that during one of their 'demonstrations' one of the kids got water bombed (or hit by something) from a passing car. He was clearly really upset and he was only about 7. It's child abuse.
tbourner
if her grandfather suddenly came down with a serious illness, and even though he has only done "good things" by the bible, would it have been an act of god's punishment and why? and if they would lose faith? That's always covered by those types as "god works in mysterious ways!".
Chiefgroover
Its amazing how some people can make their own versions of whatever and start a cult that easy? Cant figure what religion you could ever call them, it's certainally not Christianity whe Christs main request was "Love your neighbour as you love yourself".They are so full of hate, and shit at that. IF they actually would read a bible, rather than 2 verses, they might actually find their whole outlook is 100% wrong. Christ didnt get nailed to the cross for assholes like this to spread hate and bigotry. Humans.......they can destory anything with their deadly poison. neil tt
I liked the one Louis done on the brothel in USA(i wonder why) it was quite funny when he had a massage with one of the girls:d
tbourner
Humans.......they can destory anything with their deadly poison. Technically they did that from the beginning anyway, the bible was written by humans, so no matter how 'good' those humans were it's still not the word of god, it has to be an interpretation of it. Which is why I said before (in that long old thread we had religion vs evolution) it should be used as a guide to a way of living, and a mindset on how to treat life and other people - nobody should get away with following it to the letter.
