SupraStar 3000
Just watching the Liverpool match on ITV and can't remember,.. what happened to Michael Owen? Whos he playing for, is he 'out' with a injury or did he go to play abroad. AS you can tell, I'm not a big football follower

Pot
Is he still out with the injury from the world cup, or has he got another?... I'm trying to read the thread on BBoys about NOBR, but I'm watching the match too, fair to say I'm in a very good mood right now

Ian W
yes its the world cup injury still!!! I believe Newcastle have sucessfully claimed from the FA for him being out of action for so long mind you although i'm sure they'd have rather had him on the pitch. steb9780
He's still picking his disability up at Newcastle FC each week.

DrivingTheDream
Plays a behind closed doors friendly for The Toon in the next few weeks. God I hope he comes back the same player he was for Newcastle + Englands sake.

steb9780
He is a shadow of his former self ever since his hamstring problems at Liverpool. He will still be good, but I think he won't come back from all these injuries too well, he'll never be like he was. Anyway he's just a greedy shit, that only cares about playing for his country and not Newcastle who keep him in clean undies. I remember him coming back from his injuries last season, the first thing he said is that he'll be ready for the the World Cup. What about the toon fans that are paying good money to come see and pay your wages. Not I'll be back to see the Newcastle faithful who have been so supportive, then onto the World Cup. Well said, unfortunatley the Fat One has a habit of giving the go ahead to Hollywood signings and players considerably past there sell by date/zero ambition anymore. I gather you mean Shepherd there?? I think Newcastle have a decent squad with a few players they could be a good side. I'm a Liverpool fan personally, but I think players like Leroy Lita, David Bentley and maybe a few decent U-21 England defenders look promising. This is what Tottenham like to try and get hold of good young English players, Newcastle could do worse than try this avenue. Rather than spending big money on hollywood players like Owen. Martins, Parker and Milner all have the makings of excellent players.
