Never had mine done, just be careful as some parts have a gungey waterproofing treatment on them (mines still covered in it from new) steam cleaning will take that off. Chris Wilson Posted August 6, 2004 Share Posted August 6, 2004 Hot detergent pressure washed (not steam, but near 100 dgree C water jet with traffic film remover) my Supra TT engine maybe 10 times, the Skyline GTR one more than that, never had a problem. Don't deliberately play the lance on connectors, and expect to air blow out the plug wells and other dark recesses. I must steam 3 engines a week, and it's VERY rare for any problems. Secret is to take the car on a longish, fairly rapid run straight after to dry out the engine bay thoroughly. The silicone filled or rubber sealed connectors on modern Jap stuff are pretty much hermetically sealed if you don't abuse them. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
