Pixelfill
I really need to get used to this new For Sale section. I nearly flamed you for not putting a price How easy is it to get Sky to activate the Sky+ on multiroom Wez? Mike
dangerous brain
They should give it to you free if you are paying for multiroom.
jamesmark
Not free as I brought mine down from Scotland, phoned Sky up to install it and you have to get a engineer out yourself to install it, if you do it through Sky it will cost appx £120 but if you just employ one yourself maybe as cheap as £60 then you have to pay multiroom subscription. Even if I already have Sky+ and multiroom I'm just looking to replace my standard box with a Sky+ on the multiroom. My opinion would be that as I already have all the necessary cabling, I pay for sky+ I pay for multiroom, all I need is the Sky+ box registering to the card I aready have, everything else should be free. I'm sure Sky won't see it that way though Mike

dangerous brain
Man you can do this yourself. I installed my system myself in multirooms myself out in holland from scratch. You already have a 4 lnb dish if you have sky+ already. Should simply be a case of running the extra wire from the dish to the extra sky+ box alongside the existing wire into your non sky+ box. Then you call the robbing bast*rds sorry sky and ask them for an extra sky+ card. Not sure they should charge you any more after all they have a pound and a half of flesh off you already. wez_p
I really need to get used to this new For Sale section. I nearly flamed you for not putting a price How easy is it to get Sky to activate the Sky+ on multiroom Wez? Mike i think this is the only question i'm being asked to answer here & my answer is i don't know Sky charged us £60 for the engineer to come out & replace our faulty one with this one so i thought £50 was fair & assumed that someone who needed a replacement would want it i don't have multiroom but i know it's possible to have multiple Sky+ boxes in the same house as they would have done that for us when we bought the brand new one but i wasn't willing to pay more for the multiroom subscription probably worth the 15 min queue time to call Sky & ask them?
