MrHanky
In a bid to get a few half ok pictures together for the 2008 calendar me, Cable and Johnnyknox went out last night to take a few pictures. Unfortunately we timed it completely wrong and got the best light at Mallory Park instead of at a local cove. Anyway we have a few pics but nothing calendar worthy I feel. What do you think for a first attempt? I would like to try and get a sunset one in the cove tonight but the weather isn't anywhere near as good as yesterday Mark

MrHanky
Back to the drawing board me thinks!! When is the deadline for entries?? H. End of month time 27th ish. Yep I agree, I am about as creative as a brick though and am therefore not getting many good ideas. I will have a think this afternoon. toyotasuprauk
What camera are you using? Good photography in more in the eye of the taker than the camera itself as you know but I don’t think those photos are very sharp, slightly out of focus and most seem to be underexposed. My favourite is the third one though. Sorry if that sounds harsh but like you say it’s not easy to get a good shot. Keep trying its all good fun. SupraStar 3000
Nice try fellas. Like the first shot. Maybe worth trying to space the cars out next time. Seems regimented and too uniformed. Shame you didn't use Johnny's other half to jazz the pics up. Missed opportunity I think

The camera isn't great and we are trying to get hold of a better one for next time. Damn you for liking Stef's more than the others

toyotasuprauk
If your camera isnt that good you will probably find it will perform much better in good light rather than late evening. It might be worth trying to capture the photo in the bright sun shine to get a better sharper picture?

turbonut
Hi Mark Im cr@p at taking the pictures but ok at framing the views...erm, kind of Can I suggest more supra's and a bit less scenery? closer to the cars, maybe some 3/4 angles? Try varying the levels of the shots - kneeling to get some low down ones, favourite angles of the car without getting the whole supe in? enjoy getting your shots though and good luck

Or a shot of 2 Supra's in the wing mirror. Thats it now though, my creativity is done for the day
Charlotte
I like the third one in, would be nice if there was a sunset.
michael
It looks as though you need a tripod or wall to rest the camera on - use the timer feature and make sure it's nice and steady to get the pics in focus better. Cove 3 has potential, it just needs a steady hand on the camera and some tweeking in Photoshop to get the colours slighter better. Try to avoid having signs growing out of the top of cars if you take more

As well as arty farty ones You could head towards rutland and the welland valley, some super hills for sunsets. Can you get to the reservoir? would make a fabulous background shot though not sure if you can access it for parking very far down?? How about a few nice shots in front of Belvoir castle or Rockingham castle? go a bit classy x

Castle idea sounds cool though. Neil has found out that someone he works with is a bit of a photographer so we are enlisting his help for later on in the week. My car is down at Phoenix tomorrow and Wednesday though. Going BPU
