Max Headroom
Were you working under the seat? Have you dislodged a connector or cable?
Mas
no, had nothing to do with the seat!! was fitting my boostcontroller in the glovebox so was in the other side of the car really, it just went funny and made funny noise till it stoped working properly!! Max Headroom
I think the technical term is "The seat is sh*gg*d". I will wait to be proven wrong
Ric
There is a little plastic cog inside or around the motor which disintegrates and all the little teeth on the cog come off which means you need a new motor AFAIK anyway
Rob
The motor is [chavspeak]well expensive but you can just replace the gear part. However i've been asking for two months now and no-ones got any in scrap, as most scrap cars tend to sell their seats whole. Let me know if you get some...cos I'll come round and rob your house to get them.
Mas
Its a shame cos the seats themselves are in perfect condition
Jspec Germany
The cog where the long screw rotates is white and made of plastic. Mine is f*cked as well. There is another thread on the topic with directions on how to move it manually. If you find someone with the part, please let me know. Mas
it seems like every ones after the same plastic bit then?! I might just remove the stock seats and stick pair of leather after market ones then as can't be bothered with the headache.
