DannyW
How is this done? what cabes do I need? I'd like to be able to copy some music to the 360 so i can listen to it whilst playing online, can this be done? cheers
pistonbroke
Yes, you can stream music to the 360 to listen too, but not copy it across. you need a wireless network and media player 11, selct share in the tab at the top of the media player window and select the 360 on the network, then, set the 360 up to share the music, it becomes an option in the 360 dashbord to listen to music from your PC. DannyW
Just noticed you can rip cd's on to the xbox, that'll keep me occupied for now. Is there no way to connect with wires, don't like wireless-ness
Mike
Yeah, if you have a network card on you lappy just bung a bit of cat5 between them... I think you might find that very few 360 games have custom soundtracks though... which is annoying..

pistonbroke
while playing any game, press the button in the centre of the controller, then select music, then select source, then play all. The music in the game will stop and your slected music will play Its been a godsend throughout test drive unlimited

DannyW
why will it let me stream some songs but not others? wrong file type? or copyright issue?
pistonbroke
some mp3's have DRM (digital rights managment) which means you can't do much with them. and yes, certain file types cannot be played.
