Just bought this for Vicki

After only 3.5 months of ownership the Impreza is going. Vicki has never really loved the car since selling the NA for it and she really missed the looks and drive of the Supra. So she decided to go for one of these as we both love Honda's and she really loves the look of the DC5.

So we have just been to put a deposit down on this one. It really is pretty immaculate and she is already planning on getting the first few mods (Mugen Twin loop exhaust and Gruppe M induction) :)

Plus its the family car so I get to drive it too :D

very nice, always liked those cars, rare too, whats the spec?

As mentioned it is about 220 BHP as standard and better looking than the Civic :)

Comes with an LSD as well (the Japanese EP3 Civics get this aswell, we in the UK don't for whatever reason). Also has Brembo's on as standard.

It is indeed nice to drive an NA every now and then. I love the gearboxes on these cars as well. Overall the car looks great and is really good fun to drive.

The looks and rarety are 2 of the things that Vic really likes about it. After owning a Supra and having people look and wave etc she really missed that. You here the Subaru, look round to see what the noise is and then just think "oh, its another Impreza" :)

Thanks

I do like that motor. How much are you talking for one?

H.

Basically you are looking at a starting price of £10.5k and up for a 2001. Insurance used to be more than for a Supra a few years ago but now there are a few more in the country the price has become a lot more sensible (similar to NA Supra).

Thanks again

Mate's a rally class driver. Had one of these. Smart as f**k.

He was doin' 50 ish and the car flipped and rolled. Insurance and police just neede to know he wasn't speeding. Dossers. Experts reckoned he had Jap tuned suspension which set up a harmonic i his ride and that's what flipped him. He is a fab driver and scares the crap out of me. So be careful people.

Hmm, if I had to have a NA FWD car that or a Type R would be at the top of the list. Never driven a DC5 but as they used them in BTCC I imagine they handle better than the Civic. And with more power and better looks. Actually, I think I'm a little jealous!
