RedM Posted March 31, 2007 Share Posted March 31, 2007 I've just been watching a report on BBC news24 and it appears that if you go to court for a driving offence and get a fine you will also be subject to a surcharge that will go towards funding initiatives to help victims of domestic violence. However, a rapist, murderer or someone who beats the crap out of a woman will not have to pay as they are already going to prison. A bit arse-backwards if you ask me.
