Tom Tom is great, I've got it on a PDA which requires you to get an evaluation copy of the software from somewhere!!!!!

The Tom Tom units themselves of course come loaded with the stuff you need and I would get one of these next time, they've come down loads in price.

Here's a site for the best deals:

TomTom is really good but the best thing about it is that that the software and maps are regularly updated and are pirated almost instantly.

Street level maps for all of Europe, the USA, Australia, etc etc, even the Canary Islands, are readily available for nothing if you don't mind pirated software.

Or so I'm told.

I won't shout repost, but there are already a few threads on this topic...

But ignore them, for £200 (Or whatever it is now), the TomTom ONE UK will do you fine and get you where you have to go...

I have one myself, could pick a few faults (As I'm sure I've posted elsewhere therefore negating the need to post them again, unless you really want me to.. lol ) - But it ends up as for cheap as chips for something that might take you on it's 'preffered route' (MWays-ARoads-BRoads-Etc) It will get you to your destination... and the speed feature's shown me how far out my speedo is too!...

After advice and info on a thread I started last week I decided to go for the TomTom one, had spare cash to go up to £500 on one of these but the extra features on the dearer ones I wouldn't have used.

Ordered it from Amazon, £141.78, they were the cheapest but if you look online alot of the other retailers have followed now:d

Not used it in anger yet but it seems a great little bit of kit:)

I found the disc/software to be a bit crap as it took ages to upload the free speed camera software, might have been me or my computer though?
