Ian W
Another problem with the Audi guys Basically i've noticed that the front near side tyre on my audi 80 is completely bald in the centre and down to the ply on the inside!! Both tyres were pretty much new when i got the car 6000 miles ago and the off side tyre still looks nearly new. I had a feeling the shock absorbers were about to go so this was my initial thought but the guy at the garage reckons that it's likely to be the tracking if it's more worn on the inside edge. Thing is.....it seems to track fine (i.e. sits in a straight line, no pulling to one side etc). Any ideas guys?
miko_supra
Mine wear un evenly more so than normal. and it all feels good, but im still gonna get all the wheels aligned to see if that will solve the problem
Ian W
I've added a couple of pictures for comparison: first is OS, second is NS. Could it be wheel alignment if the car still tracks okay?
JustGav
That looks like the camber is a little off... Running negative camber will make the handle more precise but at the expense of tyre life. Also if it is anything like basingstoke, constantly going round the roundabouts does seem to wear one tyre out that the other..
