Havard
I think the scoop looks mint! Where is the best place to get one and how should you attach it? I may be having my bonnet sprayed in a couple of weeks. Thinking I might get one...... H.

They sometimes appear on Ebay for not that many notes, the guys description is comical saying it costs about £15 to fit and about another £15 to paint. Jake
I have UK bonnet scoops on both my j-specs. I like them. One thing though; if you're gonna fit one use the proper Toyota parts not some crappy fibreglass shit off ebay. It'll work out cheaper in the end, honestly. Nic
Where is the best place to get one..... Me I can supply the full scoop assembly, including the panel inside the engine bay, seals etc. if needed. http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/729/picture1ay8.jpg

I don't think the ebay one includes the seals and the panel inside the engine bay, I think it is just a GRP copy of the scoop, the originals are urethane so a lot stronger and easier to work with. Havard
Price for all the parts shown above is £130 including postage I take it that you have to cut through the bonnet then? Even if it's going on a j-spec? I might leave it then..... I actually thought they were just stuck on with a strong adhesive.!! H.

Havard
Install guide here http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/european_hood_scoop_install/index.html Cheers Nic, With mine being an NA would I have to go through all the crap of cutting the main hole? I would prefer to just drill the 8 holes. How do you stop the water getting in too? H.

Jake
On my grey car a hole has been cut in the bonnet but not on my blue car. The two raised bits that the rear locating screws go into on the underside of the hump would have to be filed down if you didn't want to cut a hole in the bonnet. jim_supra
I have put a bonnet scoop on mine (cut a hole in bonnet), it was an easy job tbh, the only problem on the NA is that if you use the bottom panel (the one that is under the bonnet) it will need trimming as it hits the inlet manifold when the bonnet is down.
