Wazz72
I had a crash at 31 in an MR2 when I was insured with tescos. It wasnt my fault and they told me it was an easy win case and I should have no problems. They used a Solicitors called Shoestrings which managed to string the case out for over a year, freezing my insurance at the time. when I bought my Supra TT they insured it for £900 fully comp, A year later after changing my representative on the case 3 times, the solicitors told me that my only option was to go 50/50 on the settlement. Tescos then put my insurance up to £1300. My insurance would have been 4 yrs 3 weeks after the accident, so Tescos decided to knock me back to 1 years NCD. Ive just had a quote from direct line now that Im back to 4yrs NCD for £600. So paying £1200 at 20 seems very reasonable. A few years ago you probably wouldnt have got insured, my mate had a WRX at 23 and most people put the phone down on him..
