Justin
Or should I say what range of pressures should I be aiming at? J-Spec 440 injectors FSE Walbro Pump Full decat with Blitz Nur Spec and restrictor ring Denso Iridiums Or does it purely depend on what the dyno curves say for your individual car? I'd like to stick a guage on my FSE so that I know where I am pressure wise. Cheers Justin This will all be on my new car by the way. Ian C
Your stock map is for 36psi static so I'd aim for that. With the FSE in place your pressure levels off static will be somewhat different depending on engine load so that's about the only book figure you can aim for. -Ian
SimonB
Then if you need to up the fuelling you can increase the pressure a bit and use an Emanage or SAFC to trim it back down everywhere apart from where you need more fuel. That's what I'm planning on doing. Obviously larger injectors would be better, but also more money. Should be ok for modest fueling increases I think. Btw, what exactly is static fuel pressure defined as? I think it is the pressure at idle with the vac hose to the regulator disconnected, is that right? Ian C
Yeah, but there is an easier way to set it - take off the vac hose and short pins Fp and +B in the diagnostic port, then switch on the ignition. It will run the pump and pressureise the fuel system without any injectors firing and you can set it there. Do not short the pins with the ignition on, it sparks like crazy. Not good when dealing with fuel components -Ian

MONKEYmark
i thought stock pressure was 42 or 43 psi

Yeah. Coming up next, ignition systems and why the frickers misfire above 0.9bar after you fit a single turbo. And no it's not the coil packs, plugs, or igniter. I love being me. Mark, stock pressure is 36psi static, drops to about 32psi on overrun and goes up 1psi for every psi of boost above static. Unless you have an FSE valve in which case it goes up 2d6 and refer to table -Ian
