2JG
Got a call this evening from Kwik-Fit Insurace saying that they notice my insurance is coming up for renewal and if they could take some details and see if they could recommend any companies. I thought why not as I had some time to kill. Gave them my details and they recommended the following companies: (Now I'm 29 with 7 years NCB and a clean license remember) First up Hyperformance, quoted £1200. I just laughed and said I would stick with SKY. Next was Swinton, quoted £1300! I laughed even harder and the guy just put the phone down on me. Last but not least came the realistic quote from Adrian Flux, £675 fully comp with £250 excess, which I think is quite good. Also very helpful chap on the phone. The renewal letter I got from Sky Insurance the other day quoted me £906. So I'll give Sky a call tomorrow and see what they say about it, if not I think I know where I'll be going. DaveK
The "best" I ever had was when I bought the 964. No NCD so many of the quotes were pretty silly, but the highest was over £4K.
Jive
I did some quotes just before I got mine, off of the link from the Autotrader site, the best one I had was £9k - funnily enough I didn't take that one out
Matt H
the variety in insurance qoutes is nuts. Im paying £1300 now with Admiral which is really good for me but other people wanted like 5k a year!?!?! oh btw, sky were rubbish for me, wouldnt even qoute
Jive
Forgot to mention, I was over 30 when I got the car and had never made a claim before either so where the £9k came from, god only knows!

2JG
You're right about all the variations, it's incredible how each company perceives you/the car/where you live.

Jiversteve
My insurance is with Adrian Flux. I asked for quote for Supe only and then asked for a second car quote as I have a policy with them for my kit car. The combined quote was cheaper than the quote for the Supe alone. Ok I can only drive one at a time but 'Go Figure'. Once a few years ago a policy i had lapsed accidentally. When I got a requote from the same company with the same terms and conditions that was cheaper as well. Apparently I had become a NEW customer. Go Figure. Stranger things have happened apparently. 2JG
Well I gotta give Sky credit, gave them a call earlier to see if they could match my cheapest quote so far, and they beat it! Nice one chaps

jazz1
well the only company that matched sky`s quote was lancaster slightly cheaper but scott said he can sort me out, anyways iv had stupid quotes from other companies 3000+, so end of this month im leaving my deposit with sky, 1500 pounds includes my mods and my 3 points plus mods and i used 2 years ncb:)
