JohnC
Hi, Does anyone have a PHR Street Turbo Kit? Just looking into one myself instead of a boostlogic and was wondering what sort of RWHP you can get from it on Optimax? Also what sort of fueling system is needed as a minium? Cheers
johnnyknox
I think you are looking at about 500rwhp
Lucifer
Depends on supporting mods M8. The manifold is teh restriction, adn you will NEVER see 500RWHP on that kit on UK Dyno's. But someone proove me wrong!

Jake
You won't see 500rwhp with the Stage One either.
JohnC
There can't be that much difference can there cos both kits use the same turbo.....
grahamc
If you are going for the PHR Turbo kit, why not go with the PHR fueling kit as well?
johnnyknox
You won't see 500rwhp with the Stage One either. I read 520 rwhp on standard fuelling and 630 rwhp using stage 1 fuelling system
Gamer
There can't be that much difference can there cos both kits use the same turbo..... Different manifolds, the Street kit uses a cast mani, Stage 1 and up uses a tubular mani. So there will be quite a large difference in performance. Just because they might use the same turbo does not mean the performance will be the same.
Gamer
I read 520 rwhp on standard fuelling and 630 rwhp using stage 1 fuelling system Both are using race petrol (gas) and very high pressures, not pump fuel.
johnnyknox
Both are using race petrol (gas) and very high pressures, not pump fuel. That said...surely you could see 500rwhp on V-Power ???
Jake
surely you could see 500rwhp on V-Power ???There's plenty of us that can't, not on a realistic dyno anyway.

Gamer
That said...surely you could see 500rwhp on V-Power ??? I made around 530 rwhp at 1.5bar (SRR figures) on Optimax and that is with a much larger turbo (T71GTQ) which is rated on the BL site for 720-800rwhp. To be honest I probably could have made a bit more as I did not realise that I made those numbers with a leak on the cold side of the compressor. johnnyknox
No mate, I'm about 80 hp below that. I see....annoying how they advertise these figures I think Cheers for the eye opener guys.
Jake
Jake what power you getting from you stage 1 at the wheels? Have a look here mate. The thing is not to get too caught up with bhp figures. I'm not aware of anyone running a T60/T61 sized turbo in the UK that is making 500rwhp. Apart from Thor customers of course
Chiefgroover
PHR street kit is run by lots of girls LMAO !!

Ark
No mate, I'm about 80 hp below that. You only make 420ish on all that fancy gear? I'll definitely be sticking with stock twins then - I'm only 50 behind you and I've hardly done anything...and that was measured on a ball-breaker of a dyno, a real ego-killing machine! Jake
You only make 420ish on all that fancy gear?Seems it was 427.6 rwhp. I'll definitely be sticking with stock twins then - I'm only 50 behind you and I've hardly done anything...and that was measured on a ball-breaker of a dyno, a real ego-killing machine! What mods have you got then? And what rwhp and torque? Where is this ego-killing dyno? It doesn't seem to have hurt yours much

Just what i'm debating now, got 350 at the wheels at the moment so is the PHR street kit gonna be worth it??

I would suggest going out in a well set up single using the street kit and decide after.

It doesn't seem to have hurt yours much Sorry, my mistake - my flywheel figure is 50 short of your wheel figure. It was measured at Triton Motorsports in Bournemouth on their DynoDynamics RR, on a day when almost every car got nearly 30 less than they expected (or told their mates at the pub). I just set my expectations sensibly, that way you get pleasantly rather than unpleasantly surprised!
