Daston
Hey guys Got a tyre pen and thinking about painting in the writing on my tyres when my new wheels come through. However what is it all the writing that is normaly painted or just the make and type of tyre?
Ian W
why would you want any of it 'painted'?

MarkTheBoy
"Yall got a Sh'mokey on yo tail" lol Normally just the make and type of tyre AFAIK, not sure colouring in all the numbers would look very cool... ...Not really a jap styling thing though is it? More a yankee doodle favorite.
Steviekid
I used to do this years ago on my motorbike tyres. The white paint went black pretty quickly and needed redone quite often to stay looking white.
Lewis
this has been discussed before, general opinion was that unless they are drag radials they looked shit. I think the thinking was that they caused the eye to look at the tyre rather than the car. Personal choice though - do what you like. Daston
well got some black tyre gloss as well so if it looks pants I can always change it back was going for this look http://www.topsecretjpn.com/products/jza806.jpg unfortunatly I would also need the rest of the car to back it up

Need4Speed
wouldnt know I wasnt around then Ah! You missed a great era... when 65bhp was considered decent and a 5" rim was wide:D Not to worry, I'm sure you can brush up on the 70s by watching UK TV Gold. tbourner
I had painted writing on my ZR, had to redo it every few weeks, looked quite good though (IMO). There are probably some pics on here somewhere.

lucasl
If you want big writing it would probably work better if you cut a template out of cardboard layed it over the tyre and sprayed it on.
