Green Peace
I am thinking of getting a new Thatcham approved alarm system with remote start and possibly headlight activation. Whats the best one for the money? Cheers Si
lovatt
i think toad has those features but i know clifford concept 600 can do all that, you can also get a built in turbo timer with it, looking at about £800 for the clifford with all the bells andd whistles
dangerous brain
Mines a clifford concept 300 that has all that jazz as optional extra's. Only problem I ever had with it was the installer fitted the immobilisor control box 2 close to the engine and it kept overheating:( Think it was about £299 fitted but thats without remote start etc.
Green Peace
thanks guys...£800 is bit to much to spend...I want to spend about £400-450 max with remote start etc, maybe I'll compomise and not have the headlight activation...would just love to park it in the corner of a pub car park where a couple are having sex in their car and annoy them by flashing the lights from a distance.. What kind of car parks do u frequent??? Seriously though at £300 for the clifford 300 concept basic system it cant be more than £150 to add remote start and surely emin or someone like that can stick remote light activation on as thats just basic electronic frippery. Manic
Intellistart, thats a new one on me, pray tell. Can it be retro fitted, I have a Toad. Matt
Dale B
Clifford are arguable the best around... the new G5 range are cheaper than the old G4's (eg concept 600) etc. Concept 550 or Intellistart 750 systems are all in you price range. They also do the new Matrix 2way lcd systems now... not badly priced either. Check out these links http://www.clifford.co.uk/matrix/default.asp http://www.cliffordalarms.co.uk/acatalog/Clifford_G5_Car_Alarms_UK.html -Dale

qaisar
Ok mate heres what Matt suggested "The Toad system can't do remote start, so you'd be looking at the Concept 650 with intellistart for about £400, or the Intelliguard 900 + intellistart at about £525"

LeeT
question for matt h. would your prices for installation include removing an existing alarm/immobiliser?
SUPRA2000
ive just installed a clifford concept 600 which cost me arount £420 for the alarm and i got extras like intellistart, intellivoice and smart windows 4, i think all in all it cost me arround 600 alltogether so now the car has an excellent alarm remote start remote boot unlock remote light activation and turbo timer all on one remote EXCELLENT dude
