Big Ads
I thought those electric buffers were not recommended?? Dont they leave swirl marks? I have just picked one up at a car boot sale, but am hesitating to use it.

You need a random orbit like the Porter Cable, chances are that's what he's using. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/pc-7424.html

colsoop
I do a similar no of stages the first time i polish someones car, i don't have the fancy depth gauges though but i have some good polishing compounds / pads and waxes. The difference between doing it by hand and via machine is night and day especially under artificial light It takes a long time (5 hours) but when you come to clean your car next time you can glide over the paintwork and it comes up pristine. Guru
That sounds good Peter. I am always looking for ways to improve my car cleaning so I look forward to what you have to offer. But before you do that what is a good value for money orbital car polisher in your opinion?
markjodrell
I get similar results by doing the following:- 1) go through car wash to clean car. 2)drive around quickly for a while to dry off. Easy , job done.
Angarak
I used my drying towel supplied by Peter today for the first time, very impressive....though the neighbours gave me some funny looks, obviously thought I was drying my car with a novelty oversized teatowel
