colsoop Posted March 23, 2007 Share Posted March 23, 2007 I do a similar no of stages the first time i polish someones car, i don't have the fancy depth gauges though but i have some good polishing compounds / pads and waxes. The difference between doing it by hand and via machine is night and day especially under artificial light It takes a long time (5 hours) but when you come to clean your car next time you can glide over the paintwork and it comes up pristine.
