stylieee
looking at the single turbo kits from phr; is the only difference between the stage 1 and the "street turbo" the manifold? i've always thought cast turbo manifods were generaly more reliable anyway(wrong?), so what sort of difference does it actually make performance wise? Alex
Cast manifolds = cheap, strong, restricted flow. Tubi's = expensive (labour making them), strong enough nowadays despite what CW says, maximum flow.
dandan
Cast manifold will also be better for low end torque, generally. Wez's non DBB PHR stage 1 (61mm) on a cast manifold had more low end torque than Terry's vvti motor running the GT35R/T61 DBB hybrid on a ceramic coated BL tubular. I believe SimonB is putting a 67 on a cast manifold so it'll be interesting to see how that performs...
