Tricky-Ricky
Has anyone had the TC parts of the throttle body welded up, i am going to do this but i wan to know how the casting holds up to it/ any problems?
colsoop
Yes, it holds up just fine, you need a competent welder though, and you need to smooth them off afterwards or it would look rubbish.
Wez
I have a shortened throttle body, just chop it off and get a longer silicon joiner

Tricky-Ricky
I have an alloy fabricator locally who can do it, just wanted to make sure that its not a crap casting that will disintegrate as soon as its touched with an electrode. i-macca
If you get stuck for any reason, my friends brother is a very competent welder and can help out. I forgot to ask him last time though, my memory is awful, sorry Dick!

i-macca
I can certainly ask him, don't see why he couldn't? Is it off the car at the mo, if so I could show it to him and see what he can do?
johnd-mkiv
Theres plenty of meat on it to take the heat as long as you can get it clean enough it will be fine as for the stainless water pipe you can have that tig welded to then polished if you braze it it will look crap
