neil tt
I have rung aerotek today, and the allen keys will only take about 5nm of torque which as I have been told the cam cover requires about 56nm of torque. I will have a quick chat with a friend tonight but I think my only option is stainless steel

neil tt
I asked on here and carbon angel came up with 54nm, sorry was a little out, but will try and pm Gaz, thanks:)
Kranz
54Nm is foo**n tight for a plastic cover. Mine were about 5 - 6 Nm. 54 Nmm is about right!! EDIT - Found it.... 8.3 Nm.
neil tt
No not the plastic cover, the Ali cam covers that cover the actual cams
Kranz
No not the plastic cover, the Ali cam covers that cover the actual cams Ahhhh, that'll be me getting the wrong end of the stick then For number 1 & 2 valve covers you want 5.4Nm (or 48 inch/pounds). Don't do them up to 54Nm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kranz
I bought fastners from here today: http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZs_f_b_218iopgQQhtZ-

Kranz
Spelling was never a strong point Its not that mate...... I've never seen an allen head nut before. And if you don't have a torque wrench that will do 5.4Nm then its just what I would call 'little finger tight'...... i.e. tight when pulling on the ratchet with just your little finger
