Guest tonnie200
thanks boys Needing some brakes. They are vibrating and feel very spongy. So needing some discs and pads. Probably a good idea to get braided hoses at the same time. What can you guys recomend? Is there a difference between turbo and NA brakes, UK and jap? Mike M
Welcome mate. No difference between Jspec TT and NA brakes but the UK's have bigger brakes, double the number of pistons.

tDR
UK brakes combined with decent pads and fluid yields pretty awesome stopping power. The difference is night and day when compared with J Spec brakes. When the UK / US Supra (same export spec with the big brakes) came out it was the fastest stopping production car of the time, proven in road tests. In fact there is a stopping distance comparison showing different production cars at the time, a search on here should find it. Well worth the change if you need discs and pads all round anyways as it's just the cost of the calipers that would be extra - some excellent deals to be had though if you buy the calipers in from abroad from say Dusty @ MVPMotorsports.com or Nic, both traders on here. Cheers, Brian.
tDR
Some good figures on this page but not the chart I was referring to: http://planetsoarer.com/suprabrakesII/SupraBrakeUpgrade.htm

Guest tonnie200
Very interesting. To be honest I dont think I'll be ripping about in this thing too much. How much do you think the uk spec calipers will be though? Still mite be worth it if the calipers are a decent price Tonnie
tDR
£4 - 500 for the calipers all round alone iirc. Cheers, Brian.
