mathew
thought id give these a bash earlier on. apparently they search a lot of sites for the best quotes. there was small writing saying how the quotes they show are the quotes you would get if you went directly with that company. anyway after it done a bit of searching they came back with a lot of quotes with admiral being the cheapest at £2496! i thought that was a bit steep, especially as i am with them at the moment and only paying £900:blink: just wanted to make a point that these sites such as confused.com are a load of bollox!!! Pot
I always have a check on them, and then get a quote off the companies they list as the best directly... It's saved me a few hundered £ as I've got a decorated license...
Pot
However, I do recommend Elephant, they were the cheapest this time round...
Havard
However, I do recommend Elephant, they were the cheapest this time round... If your car is not a daily driver and you are over 30 AON is best! Well for me anyway and thats all that matters!! H.
Scoboblio
To be fair there aren't many of these 'middle man' companies that will find a cheap quote on a modified / imported car. Confused came up with a great quote for the GF on her 1.3 fiesta.

Branners
when confused first came out it seemed to do a good job, they came back with the chepeast quotes on my Vectra. However on all my renewals since they have never been the cheapest. On my Citroen they quoted £420 from Esure, I went direct to Esure and it came down to £320. I then went to Sainsburys (who use Esure) and it came down to £280. So its not really worth using any more. JB
Whitesupraboy2
The reason for it being rubbish is your doing an Import online. Insurance companies dont like that. For UK cars (not just supras) Ive found that site great!
michael
just wanted to make a point that these sites such as confused.com are a load of bollox!!! I disagree, it works well for normal drivers in average cars but it's still better to shop around yourself if you can be arsed.

Getrag
Agreed, when insuring an imported car, its better to call the specialists direct. I've found confused very good for normal cars.
