RobSheffield
I went with Sky in my first year, Jae and the team were fantastic, i would have been 24 at the time, modded TT, bpu, full ncb, clean license, decent area, quoted £800...bargain Renewal time and it seemed they were not interested, my quote went up by around £200, i was like, erm, hello!! Jae wouldnt even speak to me, it was one of the other lads in the office, kept saying Jae was on another line and i tried 3 or 4 times. Matt H
Strange. especially with you dibbley, might be an issue with my NCB cos i had a scrape last year in october which set my NCB to zilch still tho ive got a fair price from Admiral now which i though was strange but hey im not complaining! i was with Lancaster before at £1200 per year and they got back to me via a letter saying "my last years insurer is no longer qouting on our panel" what ever code languague that is and they wanted £4000 for my renewal!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was well cheesed off this afternoon when i read that letter!!! Matt H
Check this out, my worst qoute!!!! the 1350 is the excess!! Local Broker £4492.37 £1350 +£20.00 included I rang these (?^&$ up and asked if i could progress with the qoute, the chap on the end of the phone said "ok then, so thats blah blah coming to £4492.37 blah blah with £1350 excess, is that o.k" to which i said, well actually i was hopeing that i could just come down to the offices so all the staff at your place could take me one by one up the arse instead, sounds like a better deal, what you think?... to which the phone was put down!! lol, really tho! Same situation with me, they were great when I first got insured but then renewal was rubbish. Going with A Plan now who have given me a brilliant quote. markjodrell
I dont get this with SKY, I am basically as cheap as it gets to insure. 47, max bonus,no accidents,no points. Sky were way more expensive than Admiral... With the amount of members on here the likes of SKY could make a killing if they gave the right quotes, even if they simply promised to undercut any other quote. So if say Admiral quoted £500 sure they could quote £480. There has got to be enough profit margin to allow this. Perhaps they simply dont want the business or they have been hammered with claims over the winter by TT owners. IMO ,as site insurers, they should be able to beat any other quote,(most of the time) if not they should disassociate themselves for the forum
rik
Can you guys put some contact details up of the companies you've mentioned that have given good quotes. RobSheffield
Thing is, Sky gave agreed value, and thats worth paying for, BUT, its not worth it with other problems in the mox, and when your premium goes up not down.
