chrisavila100
Thats the Question! Does the uk TT6 Have a 155mph speed limiter? Intresting it was 168 on the speedo:eyebrows: Of course this was done on a private runway!! once at that speed it limited the revs! felt a bit jerky, Not the beef type though!! Anyway HOW do i remove this? thanks for any advice..

chrisavila100
Cheers mate! so do you know if its a easy job to remove?? Or what would i have to replace? thanks again:d
Jake
Just remove the TRAC fuse or fit a delimiter. Thor Racing do a delimiter
hogmaw
You need a delimiter from Thor. But why would you wanna go faster than that?!?!

hogmaw
it was more of a practical question. I can never find enough road
Scoboblio
While we're on the subject, why is the speed cut accurate, but the speedo not? Surely they'd get their feed from the same place....
Jake
The speed cut is about accurate (if the correct circumference rear tyres are fitted) because the gearbox sensor knows the exact revolutions that = 155mph The speedo isn't accurate because it isnt They aren't accurate on many cars. Scoboblio
That makes more sense, thanks I know that car speedo's generally over-read, just didn't see why one device could be out and the other accurate.
chrisavila100
Agreed it would not be of much use! But i think it would be good to know, how fast the std car could REALLY go! Then when I go full Bpu,it gives me somthing to compare to! Others might be intrested to know too..
chrisavila100
Shame i didnt have the road angel plugged in! But normally i find it reads 10% less than the speedo! Any of you guys get this with your sat nav too? How much does the delimiter cost? i take it, that its not the Fcd i need when going Bpu? cheers.. DamanC
You can get a combined FCD and delimeter IIRC. Worth doing if your going BPU.
Jake
I think you're thinking of the TSD and DSC combo Daman. A FCD is always a separate thing afaik
heckler
i've hit 178mph gps speed, on a runway of course - no really on a runway which i happen to live by God knows what my speedo was reading, probably off the dial - and that stops at 200mph Fingers crossed I'll find out the max speed on my next venture down the runway in april
AJI
on the UK's you only need to remove the trac fuse to have an unrestricted speed limit (or restricted through power and not through electronics that is). But removing the trac fuse also removes the traction control abviously... if you want traction control then fit a de-limiter as suggested above. Also does something to the automatic 'box gearchanges which could be detrimental to its lifespan.
