islandsupra
Hi Guys, Really need some help here ... I have a 98 vvti TT, with a blitz catback, mid pipe and dug out the cat converter with no restrictor ring .... from what I see on various posts, I should get about 1.2 bar with this setup ... well maybe not because I would hit the boost cut first. At first, I would hit the boost cut with absolutely no problems from third gear up However, at present, I am only getting up to .9 bar ... Not certain where to begin with diagnosing this problem ..... I have an HKS SSQV ... the old type (with the screw at the back) fitted .... thinking that this maybe the culprit. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

terribleturner
If you're in the car you wont hear it leaking. Check any hoses you have been near lately for the smallest of holes. Is it in the stock loaction??
islandsupra
Haven't really played in anything... but will look over again ... yes it is in the stock position. quick Q also, how can I tell if the I/C pipe or the I/C itself is leaking? I noticed that the I/C has some stone chip damage
terribleturner
Not sure how you'd tell if the IC is leaking. Have you a picture you can post. The bung that has been put on the turbo pipework oposite the bov, how is it looking?? Is it on tight?? Hasn't mis-shaped or melted in any way?? Steviekid
Is that an anaconda? [GRIN][/GRIN] It's a motorbike inner tube. Cut it in half then clamp the two ends to the IC pipes and blow it up to around 1.0bar. If it's still at 1.0bar the next day, you don't have an IC leak.
