Denso Iridiums IK24's

I used NGK PFR7's until last week when we found detonation on the dyno so went to the Denso's. Det stopped.

NGK's cost me £120 by the way and they should be about £50!

Don't know about the HKS's mate so can't say.

Thanks guys - music to my ears....regarding the plugs not the beatings

:D

I did a search on here but nothing really showed up for the HKS plugs, and I was certainly not aware that they're Denso's in disguise.

As the HKS plugs are only just over 2 months old I'll carry on with them for now. When they were originally fitted , the plan wasn't to go full decat.

Glad I did now.....neighbours aren't though

:D

Thanks again guys

Hi George

The S40i's may be okay depending on the boost you are running, I use the cooler HKS S45i's at 1.25bar. If you get slight miss fire at WOT/max boost you will need to go for a cooler grade of plug.

regards

Well, about 20 years ago in bike racing and tuning actually. I'm sure the info is still good though.

Colder plugs are better/safer for more highly tuned engines, we all know that, right?

Q: So why don't we all just use colder plugs?

A: Because they get fouled up too easily and then provide a poor idle and/or cold starting problems.

Feel free to disagree but this has always been my understanding.

cheers

You need IK22s for a stock motor. I got mine from the local motor factors. They were just over £10 each.
