Alex
Thhis link below will take you to a site with a 3.5" downpipe instead of the normal 3". You can also get them with a cat fitted. Just wondered if anyone else had seen this site before and knew any more about them. http://www.abydos.com/supra/engine/downpipe/scott_performance/ Regards
Branners
the real question would be 'why..?' on a 3" downpipe I cant keep the boost below 1.4kg, a 3.5" would mean totally uncontrollable boost. The highflow car might help control the boost, but then for the money it costs you may aswell just pop on a 3" or 2.5" and then change it come MOT time. Theres also the problem of getting the manifolds to mate up, the US/UK and Jpsec have different exhaust manifolds so a US DP wont fit a j-spec car (unless its hacked and welded like mine). Syed Shah
Powerhouse do a 3.5" downpipe, and say it works on their car. Probably only reccomended with turbos that can take more boost than the stock ones though.
Branners
US and UK turbos have some sort of turbo bypass system which avoids the problem of uncontrollable boost, which is why the BPU mods in the states always have to have a bleeder valve or boost controller to bring the boost up to 18psi, unlike the imports which will quite happily hit that sort of level by just whipping the cats off and putting a performance exhaust on.
