Guest neilw
CanCant get these buggers off the supe! Have tried before and given up. Used bare hands \ mole grips \ plyers etc with no joy. Don't think they are 'locking' ones, if they are they're dam good! Maybe they are just bound onto the value? Any ideas?

I had some locking ones with tiny grub screws - 3 got knicked and I pulled the other off with no probs Sorry to be useless and inane but I sympathise and hope you get it sorted lol

Rob
If you don't fancy a trip to the tyre fitters you could try cutting down the side and splitting them open with a drift/large screw driver.
michael
Heat sometimes works too, if you fit similar ones in the future dollup a bit of grease on the thread first.
merckx
Heat sometimes works too Yes, try some heat but be carefull. Hold the rubber valve with another pair of pliers whilst you undo the dust cap.

Havard
Have you got a spanner that will fit or even a small adjustable? If there are no grub screw then I can't understand why they won't come off. Unless they have been fitted with loctite or superglue to stop them being nicked!! H.
Chris Wilson
Before you ruin one check if your local tyre dealer has the correct replacements in stock, and that your spare wheel fits and has air in it. There are some really weird and wonderful valves around that can cause a lot of grief when they suddenly stop holding air.
M4RK RZ
They are sodded l'll tell you now . The aluminium cap in the salt/weather oxidizes virtualy welding it to the brass/brass plated valve. best think to do is get new valves and if you must have the on apply some "Alu-slip" or copper grease to the thread before putting on new ones. And keep turning them now and again. Plastic works fine.
