islandsupra
Has anyone tried these? how do they compare to bilstein shocks? On a side note, which one of the Bilsteins do you guys normally use on the supras? ... the HDs?
Scoboblio
I *think* that Chris Wilson used to use Konis on his suspension setups until they stopped supplying them for the Supra. So on that basis I'd say they're good. No experience of bilsteins though, sorry.
Nic
Has anyone tried these? how do they compare to bilstein shocks? On a side note, which one of the Bilsteins do you guys normally use on the supras? ... the HDs? The best Bilstein dampers for the Supra, are the OEM Toyota/Bilstein dampers that were fitted as a performance option on the later Supras. These are very popular with members. Schtuv
until they stopped supplying them for the Supra. I bought a set directly from the Netherlands factory last year. Have they really stopped supplying them?

islandsupra
Been looking around and I find the Konis really expensive in comparison to the KYBs and Bilstein HDs .... would really like to know whether they are worth is.
jamesmark
NOpe they still make them I bought a FULL set of Koni Adjustables about 8 months ago and I am running them on my Supra now with Eibach springs. I believe Whifbitz on here does them too but a bit OTT on the price.
Chris Wilson
They stopped at one stage, maybe they have started supplying again? Technically Koni and Bilstein are at a very similar level indeed.

I love the fact they are both height and ride adjustable Those along with the tein s-techs shold do me just fine
Chris Wilson
The adjustment on those Konis is really meant to compensate for wear, I suggest you leave them set as they come from Koni. The nice thing with Konis and German made Bilsteins is they can be re valved and played with by lots of competent people!

Chris Wilson
The ride height, from memory, is adjusted coarsely via 3 or so grooves the lower platform circlip can sit in. Run the car low at your peril, they REALLY don't work well lowered much, without MAJOR suspension work.
islandsupra
Wow, that busted my bubble a bit chris, Don't see so much of an advantage in them now.
Schtuv
How did you find them? Nice. Seems a little firmer than stock, and the front doesn't dive as much (could have been the stock fronts on their way out, though). I wouldn't listen to me, though - no my area of expertese ... I can't be bothered to double check in install sheet and engineering diagram (which is in the car boot somewhere), but that sounds right to me ... jamesmark
They have three little lips that you can adjust by 13mm at a time. They are a very nice ride on the Supra TBH. Been in a Supra with coilovers and thats was not my thing to harsh however some people like that.

jamesmark
Is it possible to order from the USA website? They're asking $324 a pair (front and rear) ... Is that for all four? or $324 for 2 front or rear. I do not see why they cannot send them here, just need to make sure of the firment incase they differ and delivery and import tax, will still be a massive saving compared to new over here. Chris Wilson
Go for them, they are a quality unit, FAR better made than almost anything from outside of Europe.
