did about 5 spares in a row then did 4 strikes in a row.got highest score i had and also first time i have done 4 strikes in a row.

its good fun trying to beat your score.they got an offer on for unlimited bowling from 10am - 2pm for £6 which was a bargain with kids been at school it was so quiet.

managed to get 16 games lol.good offer they have.its quiet and great to get plenty of practice.lowest score i had was 101.

anyone else play it?

I've tried to get into it but I find it quite boring and very expensive. My best mate Andy is good at it, he usually gets 180+

One time we both got over 200 in the same game (my only time over 200 ever)

What really pisses me off with 10pin bowling is that there seems to be a large element of luck in it. Sometimes you can hit the front pin at a slight angle but still have three of the damn things left in an impossible spare pattern. Then some bird dollies one down the middle and strikes

And the shoes stink.

I love bowling (haven't been in a while though). I agree with Jake about the luck factor, plus it's one of those sports that as soon as you think you're improving, the gutter balls start appearing again. :banghead:

My highest ever score was just over 200, about 206 I think. Then in typical fashion, I barely scraped 100 from the next one.

220 is bloody great

I've been wanting to get back into bowling since I left uni. It's one of the few sports that is also a drinking game!

My highest score is 195 (the 200 was in my grasp and so the nerves got to me on the 10th frame). Me and a mate from uni were both scoring 150+ regularly and we've still got 5 pints riding on being the first to crack the 200 mark. Haven't been in a few months though so I doubt I'll be anywhere near that anymore.

i normaly go and have about 4 games or maybe 6. when kids off school price goes up.and they move all peak rates about.

normally its £2.60 off peak and £4 peak can be a dear thing.they do offers like 3 games for £9 or things like if you get a strike u get a scratch card to win prizes.

think i got 35 strikes yesterday and 42 spares.the £6 for unlimited is great to get plenty of practice in and there is not a million kids runing about.

if its packed i wont wait, will go for a meal instead.

have you seen the real good people who play it all time with reactive balls they do like big curve balls and it looks great to see.i did not do bad with house balls use a size 12lb ball with x large fingers.dont like them tight around fingers.also some use finger tip balls.

time flew.will have to go a few times on days off.only work 3 12 hour shifts a week so get plenty of time off.

im always watching other people bowling while i wait for my turn.should see some people bowling like they dont want to be there.then u see some people with all the gear glove/writs straps and towles and own balls.

good fun for a few hours but can be expensive.

I think it's fun but i'm shite at it. Once as I was stepping foward at the alley, I drew the ball up behind me for the swing only to have it fly out of my grip in the opposite diection, up acouple of steps and over into the arcade area!

Play regularly...

Mondays and Thursday in Basingstoke and Thatcham, usually a good laugh, don't take it too seriously. Although we do look rather flash with our own balls and shoes (cue jokes)....

we just use house balls and shoes.we both do pretty well.makes u laugh when you see posh folk in there own gear and them terminator style gloves.with all fancy moves and curve balls missing shots.does look good to see though.

what kind of ball you use.is it a finger tip ball.are you in a league?

there was loads of handicap people intoday.can get a bit noisy when kids off school

21 games!!! I can remember going to tournaments, playing 6 games and coming home absolutely knackered! Good scores though! Wish I was always that consistent.
6 games goes so fast lol.

was wanting to do seperate lanes to get more practice in but not same having some competition.

what was tournament like.we always thought we would not be good enough to enter a league or competition.

we was playing from 10am to 250pm

Nah, we aren't in league we are simply fun-bowlers... But since we do it twice a week, we invested in our own balls and shoes... Own balls so that we can perfect our crapness and own shoes because well.... I don't like sticking my feet in other people's shoes...

The scores aren't high, range from 100 to 204...

Ben and phil are on standard polyester balls full drill hold.. I've just bought myself a new ball since my old one was knackered. Went for a fingertip grip Columbia 300 Scout/F hi-flare ball, which does have some curve at the backend, still getting to grips with it...

On monday, my score was pretty much -/ -/ -/ -/ X 81 22 -- 41 -/2 So random as hell really...
