bolarbag
Right I know this has been covered many of times, but I want to get all the pros and cons out in the clear first I'm going to be buying a new set of wheels hopefully pretty soon and they need to be Light Correct Size 18" Now this is where it gets tricky...and where everyones opinions differ...what width and why? I'm thinking 9inch fronts 10.5rear sit perfectly under veilside overfenders(which I havent bought yet) or the usual 8.5 9.5 scenario, with no veilside overfenders I have seen the car bible and it is very informative until it comes to the section on width where it sounds as if the guy is talkin mince (biased towards cost) I want cost to be completely disregarded in this issue please I am slightly biased towards Volk TE37's light and stylish...other options?? merckx
If I was going to be fitting the Veilside overfenders I would be mainly thinking of getting a tyre wheel combination to make them a flush fitting. For that you've got to start considering offsets too. I can't think of any disadvantages of the 10.5 on the rear, you'll get a larger lip and you won't be limited to a 285 tyre like you would with a 9.5 on the rear. I think an experienced trader should be able to help to get the ones that would look good with the Veilside overfenders.
Chewie
I love TE37s but don't disregard Volks CE28Ns. Superlight. Gotta justify £2000 on wheels.
