Konrad
Ehhh my friend just woke me up to inform me, that we had a break into the house, when we was sleeping Nothing was missing from house except that all backpacks which was downstairs was completelly upside down. I'm pretty sure some little bastards was looking for keys to my beast , because absolutelly nothing is missing, even my friends wallet with all debit cards, money and ID's was left outside next to house. Also all mobile phones was not taken from table. They/he/she/it forced open poor wooden window in kitchen, how they did it without me hearing anything is miracle, as I'm rather light sleeper, then they get out by main door. I'm sooo pissed, when thinking about fact, that some f%$#@r was walking just next to my bedroom, when I was full asleep and was checking my belongings to find car keys!!! Scoboblio
Bastards Sorry to hear that, you might want to check for missing documents too, credit card bills, phone bills, bank statements etc. Personal details can be a lot more valuable than household goods. All those documents I'm keeping in my bedroom and seems that whoever it was, he did not get upstairs. I'm soooo sure they was looking for keys
Nic
This is why I have a lock on my bedroom door. My old flatmate and me had our flat broken into here around 8 years ago. They went into my flat mates room whilst he and his girlfriend were sleeping and took a wallet off their beside table. I'm a light sleeper and must have heard something in my sleep, I got up to go to the bathroom in the dark and opened my bedroom door to find a silhouette of a person standing on the other side. I was half asleep at the time and before I could register what was happening, I was stabbed with a kitchen knife and 3 guys ran out of the flat. Keep a look out, if they have been in their once they may well come back, some kind of booby trap could be an idea next to the window, ie. glasses on the window ledge that would easily be knocked off and alert you. Or strategically placed kitchen knives suspended by string designed to swing down if the window is opened

I hate english law - those bastards getting into house just because they know they will get 10h of community service if caught red handed and then they will come back to "revenge" - neverending story

toyotasuprauk
Although it seems pointless, you should probably report this to the police if you havent already.
Charlotte
Damn, sorry to see this. My grandma's house was broken into a few years ago whilst her and I were on holiday. It was horrible to think of people being in her house
Konrad
Reported to police, installed some VERY noisy device in kitchen, so if they will try to do this again, I will give them nasty suprise in our savage east european style Anyway, I had a nice chat with PC who was making report and seems that in 4 miles area someone was playing "Gone in 60 seconds" sequel this night - 8 attempts to nick cars (sports one only), 5 cars gone, failed 3 times. My beast seems to be one of those failed ones

Stonkin
Thats really not good mate. Keep your eyes peeled for a while and be really security conscious, and definetly report to the police.
Chris and Alana
Their are some right toss pots going about the streets now-a-days. British law sucks aswell as mentioned, I hate it how if someone brakes into your house and you beat them to a pulp, you get arrested for it andthey get a slap on the wrist. I bet if PC what ever you want to call him got broken into he wouldnt say 'Oh Mr robber please wait while I call for backup so I can arrest you for braking into my house' would he bollocks, he would twat the fecker, but it would be ok for him:mad:. The Law is balls these days. Anyway, I hope he doesnt come back and glad too know the car is ok, I dont know what I would do if someone nicked mine, well maybe . . . Anyway if he does give him a kickin he wont forget
DaveK
I think it's a very common way of stealing cars these days. An ex of mine had her 944 turbo stolen about 6 months ago when they broke into the house overnight and stole the keys.
flukey-lukey
I keep my keys hidden in a special little place where no one would find them, just incase someone tries stealing them while I'm out/asleep ...now, if I could only remember where the special hiding place is Those window alarms are a great idea, my ex-girlfriend had them on every window
Chewie
Back in the old days, people broke into your car, broke the steering lock and hot wired it. Whoosh. Now with sophisticated immobilisers your determined car thief is now a burglar resorting to breaking in and searching for your keys. Problem then is when they don't find the keys they resort to extreme violence. Sign of the times. [sAD][/sAD]
Scoboblio
This is why I have a go at my housemate for leaving his keys lying around, or in a little tray in the kitchen Just asking for trouble.
