colsoop
I have a blitz front mounted intercooler and i was wondering whether it was possible to use it the other way around. Due to dirt and flies and stones some of the fins are damaged but the side that isn't exposed to the road is immaculate. i have included a picture. Basically what I am asking is can I turn the intercooler around so the "FRONT" text in the picture would be at the back. I hope that makes sense. regards colin
SimonB
I don't think it would fit. The Blitz ones have a couple of mounts at the top that bolt on to a couple of holes in the frame. They are at the back so if you flipped it the intercooler would proably foul the radiator. Picture will show what I mean:
colsoop
The two holes in the frame where the intercooler slides in to have snapped off so i have to fabricate some new top mounts. And the bottom mount is a little too small but will work if i lengthen it. If it does fit does it matter if i run it the other way. cheers
SimonB
Can't think why it wouldn't be OK, as far as I know it's symmetrical and the hoses on each side are the same size.
