Sheefa
Trying to get the Donington Track day video up and the bloody Windows Movie maker keeps crashing. Completed a basic film strip of the best footage and it crashed! It recovered the file and has now subsequently deleted it and crashed again! Aaagghh!. Any good recommendations for fairly easy to use, but reliable, movie editing software? Thanks, Greg
ChrisSZ
I use Video Edit Magic 4.1 - seems to do the job nicely:)
Sheefa
Thanks Chris. Just downloaded that actually!
Lewis
Adobe premier
Angarak
I'd say Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas. I used Sony Vegas to create a 6gb movie in AVI format, which I later converted to DivX (at one heck of a reduced file size lol).

Wez
Adobe Premier is supposed to be one the best

Sheefa
Movie maker works fine on a decent PC, can yours cope? 4600 AMD 64 X2 Dual Core, 2GB Ram (did have 4 but was very unstable), Western Raptor HDD, X800 XL Graphics etc etc. Should be fine for a bit of movie making! Think it's all the substantial amount of porn cluttering up my PC and virus infestation (on the HDD that is not the porno ladies) that's causing it to fry half way through. Bobbeh
Yeah, with that spec it should be fine! Any errors in the event viewer as to what might be causing your software to screw up? How much video footage are you getting off the camera? maybe it just cant handle the amount.
Jake
Movie maker works fine on a decent PC, can yours cope? Uninstalling unnecessary CoDecs often makes WMM work properly again. It seems to have a problem when some of the hacked ones are installed.
Sheefa
Thanks Jake and Bobbeh. It converts the movie fine and I can chop and change perfectly. However, if I add background music and try to re-edit a clip it just freezes and the old CTRL ALT DEL has its play.
