more gutted wen i found out i swopped a perfectly good car for something that dint work

I can't really comment on that one as the Supra seemed to be pretty good when I last saw it but from what I hear the Hyundai hasn't been fault free so you might have escaped at the right time. Oddly it seems to have followed the same sort of issues you've reported with the Supra, battery, alarm and handling - add the body repair costs and the sporadic non-starting issue to this mix and I can assure you that young Philip is kicking himself as much as you are :)

Managed to sort most of it out now but with it being the odd 1.8 it's tricky to get hold of the right bits and pieces, now wonder you got rid after such a short period of time :)

I'll let him know the wheels are up for grabs anyway, he might be interested.

i would like to make a few points

1) he was well aware the vehicle was IMPORTED as i told you and him so parts will be hard

2) i had that car for 14 months and one of the things i was pleased with was that it NEVER not started first time

it would be hard to have alarm fault as it aint got one

the handelin will be SHIT on those wheels i also told him that anyone could c they were old and in need of balancing

it had one problem wen i had it that was the gear box and that is under warrenty that car was FINE with the exception of the bloody bodywork and i took it to him twice for him to look at

how did i have it for a short period of time i also explained this to PHILIP

the car was mine however it was my first car so i was insured under my boyfriend if you check the addresses for the last 14 months its the same!!! unfortunatly we broke up so i needed to be the registered owner hense the change

thanks for makin you snidy comments on my FOR SALE thread

touch of topic if you would like to carry stickin your nose in pm me id be more than happy to talk this out as you are clearly in the middle and have no soddin idea about the FACTS

i loved that car and it never had any problems

oh and if the car was such a prob then its best for him not to buy the wheels aint it although they both worked for me guess its him and a bad touch of workin a car on NO oil and NO distilled water in a battery

when you say most of it is sorted wot needed to be repaired??

and wot parts are needed for it?????

Crikey, that's me told I guess - there was I attempting to sell these on for you and having a bit of a chat about your old car, raw nerve?

You'll note that my responses to date haven't included any finger pointing and I'm not passing blame for any of the issues in any direction, least of all yours - unlike you he's not constantly making snide comments about a car he bought and had an opportunity to drive and inspect as leisure, he's simply sorting things out like he would with any used vehicle.

i swopped a perfectly good car for something that dint work

I was trying to make you feel better about things by mentioning that the Hyundai seems to have it's problems too, clearly this was lost on you though

Yes he knows the vehicle is imported, not an issue at all but as you know parts are slightly harder to come by, your posts on other forums suggest you found this frustrating at times.

Ownership time - I can only go on the V5 I've seen, the rest of the history means nothing to me.

Alarm issue - OK it's an immobiliser fob, it may or may not be causing some of the issues the car has but it's something that's being looked at.

Alloys - not only "shit" handling but dangerous, the wheels were fitted with the nuts finger tight and the spigot rings meant the alloys weren't even able to touch the hub. Again not an issue to complain about, just something to deal with, no big deal.

Bodywork - known problem but expensive to repair, again not really a problem, it's done now.

Currently it has a sporadic issue where it won't start, engine seems to flood itself for no apparent reason, it's also had a new battery.

As for buying the wheels from you - that's hardly going to happen now given your response and the PM you just sent me now is it?

As for him having a "bad touch" - this is where I come in as he's a mechanical simpleton, I look after this side of things for him and I can assure you that all the fluids on that damn car you now own were topped up, I checked the oil myself the week before you picked it up, it was filled to the max line and did less that 20 miles afterwards with no leaks showing, maybe someone drank it. I can't comment on the battery, I didn't bother checking it as it always held a good charge.

Odd how you were glowing about the car on the other forums after you got it, no complaints at all, no issues with it when I saw you and asked if everything was OK at the Ferrybridge meet... then you crashed it and suddenly it has problems

Anyway I couldn't give a toss, I was trying to help you sell your wheels, now I'm not - bye.
