Oil pressure sender and stock location

I have got a set of gauges to fit this weekend and looking at putting the oil pressure sensor where the stock sensor goes.

 

Just wondering if anyone knows if this affect anything on the ecu side of things and will the oil light remain on.

 

The reason for doing it like this is the head is the best place to take the pressure from and the red idiot light does not tell you anything hence why i wanna put sender there
