michael
Edit no its not Near enough, it's not Prodrive as such (yet) but it's still Dave Richards and a few rich Kuwaiti friends http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6442101.stm
VELOCITY
Apparently its being bought by a consortium headed by Dave Richards who owns Prodrive, from what I have heard dam too slow
ivan
Richards as Chairman, backed by a Kuwaiti consortium with Ford retaining a "small interest". (They're a "prefered supplier".) Great news. What chance an Aston F1 team now?

colsoop
What will happen to the prodrive road car ??? The same thing as this thread
AJI
this should be good news for Aston. Can't wait to see what new monsters will be designed under the new management. Mr Richards' team has already developed a strong GT car in the DBRS9 and new Aston designs are going to be a bit more motorsport oriented I'm sure. VELOCITY
Also we at Jaguar may get some more exciting cars in the future now, as before we would be competing with Astons if ours got any faster. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/astonmartin/default.asp?storyId=16001
Alex
The Prodrive road car was just a technology demostrator...a shop window if you will. It was there to show the world what they can do. I'd expect to see some much more focus'd car's coming out of Aston soon...as well as the core "softly does it" GT's
Sheefa
Ooooh, a chance for a closer look at the DBR-9 then perhaps one day. Dream car, well the S-9 of course.
Kranz
I used to work for Prodrive.... Wonder if I can still get in???
RedM
Will the new Astons be blue with gold wheels?
SimonB
Aston Martin has a long history of bankrupting it's owners, let's hope Prodrive don't go the same way. They say the best way of making a small fortune in the car industry is to start with a large fortune!
AJI
I've got a feeling they may go smaller production numbers and also focus the new cars to more of the high powered track orientatetd GTs.
Sheefa
Well it has been officially confirmed in the press today. Great news. Can't wait to see what they have planned for 2007. They have some 4 door saloon Rapide car planned - bet that will have some decent poke behind it!
